Every model on MeasureOnce is built on your device. Your measurements, and any photo you use for a lithophane, are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded anywhere.

The same goes for the star map: the date, time and place you enter are used only on your device to work out the sky. Searching for a city uses a list that is bundled with the site, so nothing you type is sent to any outside service, and the site never asks your device for its location. A shared settings link does contain the date, time and place you chose (that is how it recreates your map) — it goes nowhere unless you send it to someone.

There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no cookies.

A future update will add cookieless, aggregate analytics (page views and per-generator download counts only — no identifiers) to understand which generators are useful. This page will be updated when that ships, and the details will be spelled out in full before it goes live.
