Privacy

Every model on MeasureOnce is built on your device. Your measurements, and any photo you use for a lithophane, are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded anywhere.

The same goes for the star map: the date, time and place you enter are used only on your device to work out the sky. Searching for a city uses a list that is bundled with the site, so nothing you type is sent to any outside service, and the site never asks your device for its location. A shared settings link does contain the date, time and place you chose (that is how it recreates your map) — it goes nowhere unless you send it to someone.

There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no cookies.

To understand which generators are useful, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service: it counts page views and general information such as the country and browser type, sets no cookies, and does not follow you between sites. The site also counts downloads per generator and file type (for example "hose adapter, STL") with no identifier attached. Neither is used for advertising, and neither includes your measurements, photos or settings.
