The raised QR code is a separate body. Use the 3MF to assign a dark, contrasting filament to it; Download STL gives separate files for the plate and code.

Print the plate face-up at 0.16–0.2 mm layers. Keep the QR face clean and use strong light/dark contrast: the camera needs both the empty border and square module edges.

Scan with a phone camera to join the network. The password is not included when you copy this generator's settings link.

Make a code people can scan

Choose Wi-Fi to make a plate that lets guests join your network with a phone scan. The network name, security type and password are encoded locally in the QR code; nothing is sent to a server. The password stays out of copied settings links, so enter it again after reopening the page.

For a URL or Text plate, keep the value short. More characters need more QR squares, and smaller squares are harder to print and scan.

Choose where it goes

Plain plate works with double-sided tape, a magnetic back or an existing frame.
Wall mount or hanging adds two top holes for small screws, cord or a chain.
Table stand is one L-shaped piece: the upright QR plate and its foot print as one object.
Tag or keyring has one reinforced hole for a split ring or lanyard.

Print a code that scans

The empty border around a QR code is as important as its dark squares. The generator blocks a design once its squares drop below 1.2 mm. Print the plate face-up, keep the surface clean, and use a strong contrast: a light plate with a dark raised code is the most reliable combination. The 3MF export keeps a raised code as its own colored body.

FAQ

Will a phone connect to my Wi-Fi when it scans this? Yes. Current Android and iPhone camera scanners recognize the standard Wi-Fi QR format. They show the network before joining.

Does MeasureOnce store my password? No. Geometry and QR encoding run in your browser. The password is deliberately omitted from copied settings links and is lost when you reload the tool.

Why is the QR code too detailed? A longer URL or text needs more squares. Shorten it, increase the plate dimensions, or reduce the QR border.

Can I use a single-color print? Yes. An engraved plate prints as one piece; fill the recesses with dark paint or marker. Raised codes are easiest to scan when printed in two contrasting colors.
